STABILITY ENTERING ROUND 3

The Haltech V8 SuperUtes Series will return to Sydney Motorsport Park this weekend for round three of the season, with only one change to the field that put on arguably the series’ best ever race in the previous round.

Ellexandra Best, sister of Super2 racer Zak Best, will finally make her debut after initially being slated to race at the ill-fated Winton event earlier in the year. Best will take over the #88 Toyota Hilux prepared by the Sieders Racing Team, and driven by Richard Mork in the previous round.

Championship protagonists Aaron Borg, Ryal Harris and Cameron Crick all return after Borg claimed the series lead last time out from round one winner Harris in the Peters Motorsport #56 Mazda BT-50. David Sieders, who made his first start of the V8 era at round two, will once more line up for SRT as part of their eight strong attack.

The eight SRT entries are made up of the aforementioned Best, Borg, Crick and Sieders plus Craig Woods, Matt McLean and the father/son duo of Jaiden and Gerard Maggs.

Craig Jenner, who is sixth in points will return for round 3 out of his own Craig Jenner Racing team. The second father/son duo in the field will also be in action, Michael and Chris Formosa, out of Allgate Racing.

The series will see four races this weekend, up from the three contested over rounds one and two. As always, race two will see a top 50% reverse-grid format, a dynamic that produced some phenomenal racing in the previous round.
